Chimney & Masonry Services in Twinsburg, OH

Twinsburg is a short drive from our Macedonia shop, and it's one of the areas we work in most often. The city grew in waves, and the chimney work reflects that: the older homes around the square and Twinsburg Heights have full masonry chimneys that need real restoration, while the subdivisions built from the 1980s onward are mostly prefabricated fireplaces where liners, caps, and chase covers are the recurring issues.

On the older side, the common calls are cracked crowns, spalling brick, and mortar joints that have opened up enough to let water into the structure. On the newer side, it's rusted chase covers, missing or undersized caps, and flues that have never been swept because the previous owner rarely used the fireplace. Both are straightforward once someone actually gets up there and looks.

Twinsburg takes the same freeze-thaw punishment as the rest of Summit County, and the newer construction isn't immune — a poorly sealed chase or an undersized cap will let water in just as fast as failing mortar. Whatever the system, we quote the work in writing before we start and we don't recommend repairs the chimney doesn't need.

Typical Twinsburg job: chase cover and cap replacement

A recurring job in the newer Twinsburg subdivisions: a rusted-through chase cover on a factory-built fireplace dumping water into the chase and staining the ceiling below. We replace the cover in stainless, fit a properly sized cap, sweep and inspect the flue, and check the framing for existing water damage.

What Greater Cleveland Homeowners Say

  • Honest Inspection, No Scare Tactics

Another company tried to sell me a full chimney rebuild. Righteous came out, ran a camera inspection, showed me the actual flue, and said all I needed was a sweep and a new cap. Saved me thousands. This is who I'll call from now on.

  • Finally Stopped a Years-Long Leak

Two roofers couldn't figure out where the water was coming from. Righteous found it was the chimney crown and flashing, rebuilt the crown, reflashed, and waterproofed it. Dry through the whole winter for the first time in years.

  • Beautiful Tuck Pointing on Our 1920s Home

Our brick was crumbling at the joints. They repointed the whole chimney and a section of wall with mortar that actually matches the original. You can't tell where the new work starts. Craftsmanship you don't see much anymore.

  • Quick, Clean, and Straightforward

Swept the chimney, inspected it, and walked me through everything with photos. Showed up on time, laid down drop cloths, left zero mess. Fair price, no upselling. Exactly how it should be done.

FAQs

Twinsburg Chimney & Masonry FAQs

  • Yes — that's a large share of our Twinsburg work. Factory-built fireplaces need annual sweeping and inspection just like masonry ones, and their chase covers and caps are usually the first components to fail.

  • It depends on the system and its condition, but we quote every job in writing before we start, and estimates are free. We'll tell you what the chimney actually needs and what it doesn't.

  • Yes. The older housing around the square and Twinsburg Heights often needs tuck pointing where decades of freeze-thaw have opened the mortar joints. We match the original joint profile and use a mortar mix appropriate to the age of the brick.
